Our Story
Food is everything. It is where you are from. Food recalls memories. It is tradition and newness. It is science and beauty, culture and life. Food is home.
As an Pastry Chef, with zero food restrictions, who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and needed to make substantial lifestyle changes, I had no idea how to make food that my body now required. Coming from a culture and profession steeped in food I could no longer enjoy - I set out on a mission to not lose my palate, and also create new memories around food that would be just as darn good. Bread, Pastry, Treats - that everyone could eat, enjoy, and feel good an hour later. I wanted everyone to be able to eat the good cake.
Fast forward from 2013 - I have experimented and learned an entirely new science of allergy-friendly food, pastry, and of course, cakes. I have had the honor to consult with chefs and establishments for creating Gluten Free/Vegan Menu options, written recipes, and started this joyous lil side hustle called Cake Pharmacy with dear friends.
Whenever possible we source locally, sustainably, and ethically. Supporting organic farmers here, around the world, other small business owners, and our planet. From partnering with local flower farms for all the beauty on the outside, and Georgia Farms for the beauty on the inside.
It is such a joy being a small part of your events, family dinners, and memorable celebrations. As well as coming together for fundraising bake sales benefiting organizations close to our heart like Georgia Equality and The Trevor Project. We are deeply grateful that with each of your orders, we are able to contribute a portion of our sales each month to Islamic Relief and/or Palestinian Children's Relief Fund.
